Isla Marisol Resort / Reef & Rainforest packages are designed to explore two amazingly different experiences while vacationing in Belize. Our private island portion of the tri takes us from Dangriga Town by boat. The ride is 1 hour 30 minutes to Glover's Reef Atoll home to five small cococnut islands one of which is the home to Isla Marisol Resort.
Once on the island all the guests will be assigned to a cabana to relax or change into something more appropriate for an island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Introduction to the facilities and staff will be followed by a complimentary cocktail at our over the water bar. Dinner is served at 6:30pm to 8:00pm, then its off to admire the shooting star or enjoy a night cap before bedtime.
Sunrise in the morning are like nowhereelse on earth as you see the sun rising out of the blue sea and in the evening dipping down below the mountains. Breakfast is served by 7:30am followed by activities offered by the resort. Lunch is at 12:30pm to 1:30pm followed by more acitivities. Our day is usually finished by 4:30pm to 5:00pm. However we do offer night dives & snorkelling for those who can't get enough and want to explore as much as possible.
Transfer back to Dangriga Town are on Wednesdays, all guest will pack their luggage and be ready for breakfast at 7:30am to depart the islandby 8:30am for arrival in Dangriga by 10:00am for flights on connection with inland lodge transportation for the rainforest portion our our package.

The Macal River silently carves a course from the karst limestone of the Maya Mountains through the dense rainforests of the Cayo District as it makes its way down to the Caribbean Sea. Set high on the river's lush banks, close to the ancient Mayan ruins of Tipu and Xunantunich, is The Camp at Chaa Creek. Scattered throughout tropical rainforest are ten casitas, or small bungalows, each on a raised platform with airy peak-roofs, full screens and containing two comfortable beds. Each casita has a private sheltered porch for quiet relaxation and peaceful views into the undisturbed jungle habitat. The Macal River Jungle Camp provides an ideal base from which to explore the nature and culture of western Belize.

With swimming, canoeing, miles of well maintained trails, a Butterfly Farm, Natural History Centre, and scheduled day tours to Xunantunich, Caracol, Tikal, the Mountain Pine Ridge, and the Chumpiate Maya Cave, your stay is guaranteed to be both adventurous and educational.
The The Camp at Chaa Creek has been designed for outdoors people who enjoy rustic accommodations in a remote setting. Comfortable beds with clean linens, pillows, towels and blankets assure a good night's rest after a day bush walking, canoeing, or other rainforest activities. Vehicle traffic into the camp is restricted, and every effort has been taken to minimize the camp's impact on the natural surroundings.
